Alla Bua (A different cure)

In this ethnographic documentary, Maria, Lele and Flavia share their personal stories of healing, all of them connected to a historical-religious phenomena: "Tarantism" in Southern Italy. Since the 14th century the "Pizzica" has been played and danced to cure people from the bite of a spider. Today, as Flavia, Maria and Lele tell us, it can be a cure for any physical or psychological pain, a cure even for the troubles of a fast-paced world. To them, the Pizzica is more than a music or dance form, and by listening, dancing or playing they experience "alla bua", a different cure, which is connected to trance states, visions, the invisible and holy.

Bardo (Di Maio)

Bardo in tibetan means intermediate state, and indicates the condition of transition between two states.

This film is a journey that reflects on the concepts of Life and Death, of Transition, of Life as a Dream, and of all the illusions that manifest in our lives.

It is an invitation to connect with a deeper sense of understanding, found within the space between each sound and image.

The audiovisual stream becomes a resonating bridge to the Unseen and Unheard, to a knowledge we know exists, but of which we are habitually unaware.

There is an alternative way of experiencing this film, which is to watch it twice, first blindfolded, and then with eyes open.

By removing the sense of sight the first time, much more attention is given to the sound stream.

Stripped of their ability to "see" outwardly, the audience gains space to picture moments and memories according to their own sensibility.

This internal manifestation, this dance of light and color that occurs in the "mind’s eye" in reaction to the soundscapes, becomes a shadow-play of subconscious imagery, replacing "the real" imposed by the eye, by "the possible one" suggested by the ear.

As such, the ear becomes the new "sensitive eye", one which is born out of the enhanced combination of external sounds and internally perceived light.

The sound will break this light into rarefied shadows, and will introduce the listener to one of the main topics of the film: reality, as we know it, could be nothing but a dream.

Bardo (De Stefano)

SYNOPSIS

A man on his deathbed makes a visionary journey between the past, present and future of his land. In those moments it becomes clear and limpid what he has seen and known in life and that the magical rites that he has studied all his life still manifest themselves around the country in other much more modern forms.

STORY

A man on his deathbed clearly sees that the magical and religious rites he has studied all his life can be brought up to date even in the contemporary era. The omniscient eye of the deceased will wander all over the country and will meet different characters, each one struggling to practice magical rites.

The deceased will see a politician on duty seek the consensus of the streets by pointing to an external scapegoat (immigrants) as the evil that afflicts their fellow citizens, just as before the peasants removed the devil from their dry and run-down cultivated land. The deceased will meet a loving couple who argue in a bar and whose boyfriend shares a fake video on his smartphone that portrays blacks hatefully destroying a local police car, and understands the parallelism with the ancient cathartic practices of the sorcerer for atone for the devil from love affairs. The soul still wanders and sees the mother who tries to console the mourning of the loss of her child alone by taking psychiatric drugs and understands more clearly how in the past the mourning process was instead shared with the other members of the community. The gaze of the mother leads the deceased to meet the priest who shortly before celebrated his death and who has now abandoned himself to gambling raising his eyes to the sky just as the devotees of past years raised their gaze to the saints on the altar to seek prosperity and fortune. Finally, the essence of the deceased scholar will be embodied in the eyes of a boy who will become aware of community life and aggregation.

Be ready - The keys of Pope Celestine V

"Be ready - The keys of Pope Celestine V" tells the life of the holy hermit Pietro del Morrone, who became pope in 1294 with the name of Celestine V. He was known for having renounced, by official act, to the papacy after only a few months. The film focuses on the short but intense papacy, on the famous renunciation and on the imprisonment imposed by his successor: Boniface VIII, in the prison of Fumone where a fight takes place, a fight between two different conceptions of the Church: the Spiritual one and the Material one.

Kali Yuga Chants

Kali Yuga Chants follows “Uncle” and “Aunty”, a mixed-race couple living in India, and the 35 children they’re raising in a makeshift foster family. The film chronicles individual kids' transformations over ten years: from begging and picking through garbage, to learning meditation and math, gaining confidence and navigating teenage crushes and turbulent emotions.

Under the mentorship of an internationally-known teacher, the teenaged girls become expert chanters of Hinduism's ancient Vedic mantras, which helps them to break free from the caste and gender stigma of their births, but ironically also brings backlash from the established elite and male priests.

As the whole group struggles to build a permanent home in the jungle, external and internal "complications" threaten to tear apart the family, and raise questions that are central to the human condition.

NAMARALI

NAMARALI is a 50min documentary charting artist Donny (Yorna) Woolagoodja's quest to rekindle deep connections with his traditional ancestral culture. Yorna's spiritual beliefs revolve around the wandjina - creator beings whose images adorn the caves and rock ledges throughout the Kimberley in Western Australia. Refreshed with new ochre each year by his ancestors the wandjinas are now fading away with the absence of Yorna's people.

But the community's decision to allow one of Yorna's designs to appear at the 2000 Sydney Olympics opening ceremony empowers a progressive new perspective. Yorna is compelled to visit the big-boss wandjina NAMARALI in his cave. His mission; to repaint the imposing 4m wandjina image with fresh ochre and restore NAMARALI back to his full glory.

On a distant, inaccessible section of the West Kimberley coast, the film is witness to the radical action of a man and his community determined to bring their deity 'back to life'.

NAMARALI was created over 20 years by Tim Mummery and senior knowledge keeper Yorna Woolagoodja (2021 Red Ochre lifetime achievement award).

Nameless Natives

Ethnographic populations and tribes have seen gradual fading out to complete disappearance from the face of earth over the centuries. Who knows which were the inhabiting populations that we never got a chance to know about? The Santhali community is one of the oldest existing tribes which have continued to exist through the test of times and changes both environmentally as well as socially. So, what intrigued us was to tap into their life more closely and try to investigate their components of strengths, belief & practices which makes the core of their uniqueness and timelessness. Their changes and developments as a tribe matching step with this overhauled globalization and digitization of the outside world and still holding onto their age-old practices haven’t been much spoken about and we at UinDhi strongly believe that such communities like the Santhalis make the real heroes today who are still holding onto their core elements in the face of modernization. Their lives, their stories of pain, pleasure etc deserves to be told and we have made our first step towards it through this documentary of ours- the “Nameless Natives”.

I started from the studies of Zecharia Sitchin, above all his idea about our planet being visited far away by some ancient astronauts who gave man civilization and created him as a ‘primitive worker’ at their service. A story between science fiction and mythology, offering a valuable explanation to a lot of historical and archaeological facts that we cannot explain otherwise. The very first – and most important – revelation that I’d verify with this documentary is about our origin: Genesis, or the other Genesis actually.

We know that homo sapiens appeared in Africa, more precisely in South Africa. The homo sapiens first appeared in Africa, more precisely in South Africa. But the fact that right there are also the oldest gold mines in the world, matched with this ancestral presence of human activity, is a real mistery.

A thick mistery if you consider that a lot of stone circle constructions have been spotted in this area with Google Earth: they suggest some kind of considerably intelligent presence, or technological either. I traveled to South Africa to meet mr Michael Tellinger, who studied these structures widely. Structures suggesting the Sumerian myth called Absu, seen from above, i.e. the place of the gold search and the creation of man. A place almost uncharted yet, where Michael Tellinger sought the traces of a very remote past instead. Myth, archeology and human history cross here, revealing something that can change history as we know it into... "quite another story"!

The travel continues in Baalbek, the place where Gilgameš wandered looking for immorality according to his epic. Then in Ecuador, where I found the Agua de Oro, long life elixir. In addition to Michael Tellinger and Zecharia Sitichin's contributions (with some rare excerpts taken from my very first interview with mr Sitchin, made twenty years ago in New York), the documentary collects some unpublished interviews with Mauro Biglino, who reinterprets the Genesis Biblical; Alessandro Demontis, who interprets the Sumerian and Babylonian myths of creation; Pietro Buffa, who analyzes the different phases of human evolution from the genetic point of view, and to some friends of the Tesla group.

Rinaldi - Instrumental Transcommunication To The Other Side

For almost three and a half decades, a slight and unassuming Brazilian researcher has been bringing forth evidence of an Afterlife via various processes of Instrumental Transcommunication (ITC). Using technological devices such as telephones, televisions, recorders, computers and cameras, Sonia Rinaldi has been able to record both voice messages and visual images of those who have passed on from this life providing comfort to those who have lost a loved one and helping to prove, definitively, that life continues after bodily death.

Over time, the quality and quantity of these voice messages and visual images have become increasingly clearer, and her work has caught the attention of many well-respected researchers. Hear from some of them, as well as from a small sampling of parents who have lost a child, who attest to the amazing influence Sonia Rinaldi's work has on current understandings of concepts such as life and death.

S☉N RISE

The Hermetic Philosopher or Alchemist is depicted in his laboratory, he contemplates and recounts the creation of the world and in doing so, he separates and recombines himself, appearing and dissolving in the creative act.

S☉N RISE

AND THE S☉N RISES FROM HIS ASHES

AND EVERY DUSK MUST BRING ITS DAWN

AND EVERY DAWN WILL BRING ITS MORNING, AND SO WE MOURN THE DAY BEFORE

AND IF I SEE YOU AT MY WAKE IT'S BECAUSE I MIGHT HAVE DIED

BUT IF EVER I MIGHT DIE WELL THEN AGAIN I WILL AWAKE

COS' MY MOTHER IS THE SEA

AND MY FATHER IS THE WAVE

AND I FOLLOW IN THEIR WAKE

AND SO I ALSO MUST CREATE

I'M THE S☉N OF THE SUN

AND MY MOTHER SHE IS NONE

AND HER OTHER HALF IS ONE

THEY MAKE ALL THINGS UNDER THE SUN

AND SO THE TWO GIVE RISE TO THREE

AND THUS CREATING YOU AND ME

AND YOU AND I SEE EYE TO EYE

BECAUSE WE COME FROM THE SAME SEA

IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WAVE

AND SO THE WAVE IT PENETRATED

AND SO THE WATERS SEPERATED

AND THE WHOLE IT BECAME OPEN

AND IN AND OUT THE WAVES GIRATE

SO THAT THE OCEAN IMPREGNATES

AND SO LIKE RIPPLES ON THE WATER

SEPARATE AND REPLICATE

AND SO THE WATER LOST HER WATERS

AND DOWN THE HOLE THE OCEAN WENT

A VORTEX FLOW OF FRACTAL FORM

CRYSTALLISING IN ITS DESCENT

AND SO YOU SEE, THE SEA GAVE BIRTH

TO THE WORLD, TO THE EARTH

TO CURVES AND CIRCLES, SNAKES AND SERPENTS

SOUND & FORM, GEOMETRY

INTO THE HOLE THEN LOOPS THE WHOLE

IN A GREAT FEEDBACK SYMPHONY

ONE FAMILY, A SINGLE TREE

OF WHICH THE FRUIT CONTAINS THE SEEDS

AMD WE ARE NOT AN ENTITY

THERE IS NO YOU, THERE IS NO ME

ETERNALLY IN UNITY AND SO WE ARE INFINITY

AND THE S☉N RISES FROM HIS ASHES

AND EVERY DUSK THUS BRINGS ITS DAWN

AND EVERY DAWN THEN BRINGS ITS MORNING

AND SO WE MOURN THE DAY BEFORE

AND IF YOU SEE ME AT THE WAKE IT'S BECAUSE I MUST HAVE DIED

BUT WHENEVER I WILL DIE WELL THEN AGAIN I WILL REBIRTH

COS' MY MOTHER IS THE EARTH AND MY FATHER IS THE FIRE

AND SHE BIRTHED ME FROM THE SEA AND HE TOOK ME TO THE SKY

Secrets, Dreams, Faith and Wonder:

A Visual Music Film by Stephen T. Pope and Friends

"Secrets, Dreams, Faith and Wonder" is a multi-award-winning feature-length non-narrative "visual music” film; its five movements (the short-subject contains one section from each movement) use computer animation, painted film, and photographic sources (together with an original electronic-music soundtrack), and map loosely onto the sections of the catholic mass (but with an epistle lesson from Martin Luther King and a credo by Mahatma Gandhi).

The five pieces of music incorporate voices in Latin, English and Arabic (texts from the Bible, by M. L. King and M. K. Gandhi) as well as bird and whale songs. Each of the videos was made to fit the music of the respective movement.

The motivation for "Secrets, Dreams, Faith and Wonder," for making a new mass for the new millennium, is summed up in the following paraphrased quote from the late Joseph Campbell, "Those who have heard the rhythms and hymns of the angels, who have understood any of the words of the angels, will try to recite those hymns in such a way that the angels will be attracted."

Quotes from reviews: Riveting - a tour de force - a hypnotic flow - this is deep electroacoustic music - a fluid and engaging rhythmic and harmonic sense - works both as music and as ritual - incredibly profound - the sonic landscape is pristine - mesmerizing - I can't wait to see it again!

Selkie

In Celtic and Norse mythology, selkies, meaning ‘seal-folk’, are beings capable of therianthropy: changing from seal to human form by shedding their skin. Emerging when the time and tides are correct, seducing or being held captive by human lovers, similar to their cousins the ‘kelpies’ and ‘finfolk’. Our composite shape shifting water siren emerges from her underwater world to ours, casting her spell of seductive and violent dance. Is it love and desire or appetite and malice? Soon a fleeting wisp, she returns to the aquatic depths, leaving only our quickened pulse and vacant stare.

The Lobster Eats the Apple Seeds

"The Lobster Eats the Apple Seeds" is a meditation on the metaphysical conundrum of solipsism, that can either be a comforting spiritual spiral, or a grinding hamsterwheel. UnTyMe

UnTyMe is a short fly on the wall film about a group of friends that flee the city on a rave escape to the hills. Devised by musician HforSpirit (DAIS, Ecstatic, Northern Electronics) and directed by Nick Hadfield, UnTyMe brings collaboration from Olubiyi Thomas (British Fashion Council), Jonathan Castro (Metahaven) and Salomé Pressac (Rambert Dance).

Documented during the pandemic, their pilgrimage to post-industrial landmark Skull Quarry (the infamous “rave cave” of the 1990s) invites a union with nature and a new beginning in the dance.

“UnTyMe reveals a collective intention to find a new sense of belonging. In response to the feeling of dissociation caused by prolonged isolation, we went in search of the ancient rhythms of the land. It became an exploration of ritual movement, symbols, and silhouettes inspired by the ancestral myths of Britain.” says Nick Hadfield

“It’s an impulse - we had no idea what to expect. We created the circumstances to come together and be free for a moment. It was born from necessity.” says HforSpirit

The project explores a communion of new ideas around ‘heritage’ - welcoming participation from a range of international artists reimagining ancient myths today.

“I’d been speaking with H for some time about deconstructing what it means to be Celtic. When you take the myths out of context they become more real - the garments were taken from my Future Highlander collection, which celebrates being wild, feral and free.“ says Nigerian born Glaswegian designer Olubiyi Thomas.

“The hairpin I made with Delphine Lejeune explores concepts tied to identity and memory but also reflects on how we perceive ‘historical objects’ in present or future times to come.” says Peruvian artist Jonathan Castro.

“Dance unifies the masses - it felt so good to touch and connect again. Escaping London at that time was such a liberating experience. Once we got up there our movement really came alive as we drew from the nature around us.” says Salomé Pressac

It was premiered at ‘E-Birth’ a specially curated rave symposium hosted by Emulsion Magazine exhibiting work inspired by the film. Alongside UnTyMe, E-Birth featured an original film by Turner Prize winner Mark Leckey, an installation by Jonathan Castro and original music by Gabber Eleganza (Warp) alongside performances by Blackhaine, Space Afrika and BBC’s Zakia Sewell.

Uromastyx Maliensis

Lanfranco Secco Suardo is the great-grandson of Giovanni Secco Suardo, the founder of modern art restoration.

The heir of a noble family whose family tree dates back to the year 1000 A.D., the owner and dweller of an astonishing castle that fights every day not to yield to the weight of the centuries (and of contemporaneity), Lanfranco is a renowned filmmaker who, in the tradition of Jean Rouch, explored and captured a lost world, and the protagonist and co-author of this documentary. However, despite this premise, and although this documentary can definitely be included in the biographical genre, the actual protagonist of the film is not him, but Time.

How can eternity be measured? By the wear and tear of a massive wooden and iron door that has been lying in the cellars of the huge building for generations, waiting to turn to dust? By the average lifespan of a dog running through the frescoed rooms of the castle, or that of its owners, who have all been born and died there for generations? Or through the works of art which, at the time they are conceived, are a representation of contemporaneity and, at the same time, a symbol of antiquity, as the decades roll by and envelop them in the dark rooms of a household that seems to have no end?

Could time be calculated by the very slow pace of the Uromastyx, a reptile friend of Lanfranco's, born in the desert, which walks for its entire existence, without certainty, in search of a fellow creature? In the castle of Lurano (a country village outside Milan) Lanfranco kept a very precious archive, always evolving and growing, of manuscripts coming from all over Italy and from all centuries, daily consulted by scholars from all over the world. In one of them, a contract entrusting land to various families for 900 years. Once again: what is time? A documentary in which we get to know a human being who is confronted with ancient sets of keys that perhaps no longer correspond to a door, with objects that someone put down in a hurry and that have not been moved since the days when Napoleon crowned himself king of Italy. Through a Virgil who is as charismatic as he is mesmerising, this documentary aims to provide insights into a subject that has always been as elusive as the one that combines seconds and epochs. And we, with shorter or longer memories, fight against windmills, against oblivion, as long as we are allowed to.

Accompanied by the religious songs of Lebanon and the compositions of Luciano Berio, one of the fathers of European avant-garde music, this documentary moves through the centuries at the ancient and lively pace of its protagonist.

Abbey of Thelema

In 1955 occult underground experimental filmmaker Kenneth Anger went to Cefalu in Sicily in order to find “The Abbey of Thelema” which was Aleister Crowley‘s residence and spiritual centre in the first 1920s. Kenneth Anger made a documentaty about the house and its murals for the British television series Omnibus. However, shortly afterwards the film was lost.

Today the small Italian villa that once housed Aleister Crowley and his dedicated Thelemic followers is barely standing. It has been vacant for nearly 100 years. The Abbey’s roof is almost entirely caved in, garbage and debris are masking the floor. Some original furnishings of the home are still there, although marked by shrubbery and rust. The walls feature modern graffiti and show little of the originals painted by the infamous Aleister Crowley, whose poems and Enochian prayers accompany you through the rooms. "Abbey of Thelema" (2020) is an experimental documentary about the cursed rooms of this former cultic place place, which is now dilapidated and overgrown with plants.

Amongst the Plants

Entre las Plantas (Amongst the Plants) portrays a Peruvian Amazonian family living in the Ucayali region. Flor, Karina and Julio work and communicate with plants that according to their Asháninka

culture have an elevated status of teachers. In their garden they cultivate medicinal plants to protect against negative energies and to heal their Peruvian and foreign clients. During the night, they sing to ‘the mother of all plants’, plant-teacher Ayahuasca, for her to visit, heal and to consult on how they can help their clientele. In their garden, which is a microcosmos in itself, good and evil seems

in a constant duel as dangerous gorillas and snakes get contested by brave chickens and eagles. With patience the film-maker learns as an apprentice how plant, animal and human work together in this garden for his own and other’s healing process.

Annapakta - One who can digest food.

Yoga and Ayurveda - Science of Life

This film uncovers some of the foundations that make up yoga and Ayurveda, and which have been diluted in the course of their worldwide spread. Yoga scholars and teachers, yogis, Ayurveda scholars and doctors, all of whom were chosen for their decades of honest and profound practice and experience, respond to common misconceptions and prejudices: does Ayurveda mean vegetarian? Is Yoga a religion? What is a yogi? What is knowledge? What does science mean? What is life?

The film presents authentic and highly experienced personalities, such as:

Ayurveda scholar Dr. Vinod Verma who has two doctorates in medical sciences and years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, decided decades ago to change and dedicate her life “to health and not to disease”. She was the first scientist who brought knowledge on Ayurveda to Europe, by now having completed 27 books that are translated into various languages.

R. Sriram, Yoga teacher and scholar since 37 years, had studied with famous yoga teacher Krishnamacharya and Sri Desikachar. Over the decades, he has managed to maintain the pure teaching tradition and prevent it from becoming commercially. His work is considered pioneering also in Western culture which he knows deeply.

Performer, author and thinker Anjali Sriram lives between India and Germany since almost 50 years, creating artistic projects and actions which must be regarded as avant-garde. Her unique insights and independent ideas help enormously to expose common prejudices and to transform them into conciliatory statements.

Swami Nadananda has openly and generously shared his experiences of his life as a true yogi. This made it possible to give the audience an authentic insight into a way of life that is far removed from our everyday way of being. And yet their questions and doubts are the same.

These personalities, even if some of them are quite well known, were not chosen for their degree of fame, but they all stand out for their tireless, consistent, truthful work, which has never fallen victim to commercial thinking. They are true masters of their kind, not afraid to face the most critical questions - for they have asked them themselves long before the film did.

Before the Close of Day

The documentary Before the Close of Day is a poetic meditation on Dante’s Purgatorio. Set on the Staten Island Ferry during winter storms, passengers cross the New York Harbor while Cantos from Purgatorio are read evoking a spiritual passage between places. As the boats pass Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, questions about our obligations for welcoming others are suggested. Back and forth the passengers travel, but there is no deliverance in this journey, no paradise on the other side, only the waiting and the reflection of that destined voyage in the hereafter.

Dry Rain

“Dry Rain” presents a glimpse of Anang Nursyam's life, a self-assured rain shaman who lives in the village area of Tasikmalaya, West Java, Indonesia. Anang spends most of his time outside work cultivating his own livestock, and when he’s not on the farm, he enriches his knowledge of divinity, either through discussion with his friends or meditation. Throughout the film, the audience sees how he works on set and also remotely from home, hired to prevent the rain. By the end of the film, we find out how he got into the business and why his employer hired him in the first place, all of which combine to communicate the culture and glimpse the complex ways the Sundanese Indonesians believe.

Embers of the Sun

The first lasting structures weren’t built for the living, but for the dead.

Megaliths, the ‘great stones’ erected during the Neolithic and Bronze Age, are the beginning of architecture, the first expressions of our domination of the planet and her resources; of our ability to alter and shape the earth. They signal the r/evolutionary moment some 10,000 to 5,000 years ago when our ancestors razed the forests to cultivate plants and breed the animals they’d tamed, spreading and multiplying in an ever expanding pattern of settlements and chiefdoms, boom and bust.

Through the agency of stone, the gods, and the cosmic dead, these first farmers affirmed their divine right to the spaces they cleared and claimed. They carved petroglyphs on living rock, constructed tombs for the ruling elite and raised monoliths and stone circles to mark social and religious boundaries that transformed the natural landscape into a cultural landscape; a ritual topography that linked soil and sky, past and present, with man at its center.

The great stones bear witness to a time when we first stood apart from the wilderness and looked back at it in awe; the moment of separation and the birth of the modern world: the biblical Fall. Like visual cues, the monoliths direct our gaze across time and space to ancient horizons that enclose us still. Facing them we confront ourselves and our origins in an agrarian death cult to which we are heir.

A journey into the sacred landscapes of prehistoric Armenia, “Embers of the Sun” evokes a primeval earth transfigured by monuments of mysterious design: rock art found in the desolate volcanic wastes of the Geghama and Syunik mountains, solitary monoliths and cyclopean tombs in rural fields, and the megalithic complex of Zorakarer; vestiges of a lost Bronze Age cosmology that haunt the modern mind.

The impressionistic aesthetic of analog video - the cinematic equivalent of watercolor or polaroid - conveys the emotional impact of the monoliths and the numinous beauty of the spaces they address. Equally integral is the soundtrack by the British group Urthona, taken from the album “Urthona plays Atlantis?”, a collaboration of the band with legendary musician, writer and prehistorian, Julian Cope. Neil Mortimer’s thundering guitar, Michael York’s ethereal duduk (a traditional Armenian wind instrument), and Cope’s ritualistic percussion conjure up a vanished realm that mirrors the film’s images in sound: the vastness and majesty of the mountains, the raw energy of the elements, the intimation of ancient powers, cosmic and chthonic.

At once a lyrical documentary and archeological science fiction, “Embers of the Sun” is an apocalyptic vision of the future in the past. In the prehistoric landscape it sees a post-historic age where civilization ends where it began: an event horizon through which we disappear - by ecological disaster, famine, plague, or genocide - leaving only the ruins of our dreams behind.

Homeopathy Unrefuted?

Despite the homeopathic doctors studying medicine, they treat their patients against the basis of scientific knowledge. Allegations of fraud surround the topic. In the film, homeopaths embark on adventurous explanations of their popular belief system.

Not an easy task with drugs like "North Pole" or "Laser", which are administered in the form of globules. Homeopathy, which is often confused with naturopathy, is "one of the most popular medical systems worldwide". This is how Jens Behnke of the Carstens Foundation puts it. After investing about 30 million euros in research, pressure is increasing to prove that homeopathic drugs are more than just placebos.

MD Christine Laschkolnig prefers to trust the positive feedback from her patients: “Children throw themselves on the floor and scream for their globules. They clearly feel this in their bodies.” Her colleague MD Maria-Lucia Kaut says: “What you observe is true. Period!“ But if all homeopaths make different observations and believe they are true, then critics are no longer needed to make the discussion exciting.

HOMEOPATHY UNREFUTED? is an argumentative piece without an opponent. In any case, the protagonists are armed for defense. Too much is at stake, their own profession and how they view the world.

Lebenspanorama- A portrait on the search for Reincarnation

The majority of people believe in life after death, for example in the immortality of the soul or the resurrection of the dead. About 25% believe in reincarnation.

Cult and observation sites from the Bronze Age are witnesses that our ancestors already believed in life after death.

The question of what form the transformation of the spirit takes after death is now accompanied by research in the field of neuroscience, near-death experiences, reincarnation research, Buddhist belief and regression therapy. The film poses these questions to the Buddhist teacher Ole Nydahl, the psychologist Hans Markowitsch and the reincarnation researcher Dieter Hassler. Will the new insights bring us certainty?

LOS

In another time, on a different world, mankind has made progress . . . Ruled by the very AI they developed and employed to set them free, humans have become slaves to their machine. We have lost friendship, love, and sex, and we are the machine labor and means of production. In a tomorrow-land without touch or value, a future very much of our making, upon which human life is transaction and output, we have lost humanity. The AI, the machine, has put us to work, and we humans do not work without it. We labor and toil for calculations and machinations logical and unfeeling, having forgotten one another and ourselves.

Yet there are the Los: the most human of us, ostracized, exiled, and refuted by the rest for knowing nature and refusing to resist intimacy and the intangible connections of life. It is the Los who would free mankind to return to their humanity and to become again the collective “we” of individuality, of love, of freedom from artificial design. The Los will go to war for the humans who were not and for the humans they are, but . . . will they save us?
